Global Asset Recovery in Digital Finance

As the digital asset landscape matures, global enforcement efforts are ramping up—and so are the complexities. From decentralized governance to cross-border transactions, legal systems are being tested on how to trace, recover, and regulate crypto assets effectively.
Bringing together lawyers from the United States, Cayman Islands, South Korea, and Switzerland—this session offers a global legal lens on the evolving risks and responsibilities in crypto, DeFi, and DAOs—spanning enforcement, structuring, and asset recovery.
This panel will explore the mechanics of crypto laundering and asset off-ramping, the growing focus on centralized exchanges as recovery targets, and the evolving legal structures around DAOs and DeFi. Panelists will examine legal wrappers, regulatory passports, and whether DAOs insulate participants—or increase exposure. The session will also address the unique challenges of tracing and recovering assets across decentralized ecosystems.
